All State Choir 2021

All State Choir 2021 was held in Rapid City, SD on October 29th-30th. The quartet from Henry included Hayley Goodall, Tehya Grode, DeLaney Anderson and Collin Fuller. These students have

been working hard for the past month working on the music for this event which was the first event held at the new Monument Event Center.

South Dakota All State Choir is an annual event featuring the All State Choir and All State Orchestra. The All State Choir was under the direction of Dr. Russell Svenningson from Augustana University in Sioux Falls and the All State Orchestra was under the direction of Dr. Kevin F.E. Sutterlin from Concordia College.

Before the event started, the group took in the sites at Mount Rushmore National Park after arriving on Friday evening. The students then began two days of rehearsal and concluded with a combined concert which was aired on SDPB. Collin Fuller was recognized as a 4 year member of the South Dakota All State Choir on Saturday afternoon. Congratulations to the Henry quartet on an amazing weekend of music and thank you for all you do for the Henry Music Department!
