State Oral Interp

DeLaney Anderson, Tehya Grode, Collin Fuller and Chase Kelly all qualified for the State Oral Interp Festival that took place the weekend of December 3rd and 4th in Huron, SD. In order to earn a spot at this meet, students had to move on from both district and regional competitions.

At this festival, students from across the state who have also qualified for the meet perform their pieces in the areas of Humor, Serious, Storytelling, Poetry, Oratory, Duo and Reader's Theater. They are then judged by three different people who determine if the performance has earned a superior rating.

The four Henry seniors performed a reader's theater entitled "A Little Breezy Down Below" by Ken Bradbury and earned a superior rating. Chase and Collin also earned a superior rating on their duo, "Sandwich Bags: Wear Them On Your Pants" by Bradley Walton.

These performances earned Henry School a team excellence award!

Congratulations on a very successful Oral Interp Season! Also, thank you, seniors for your work and dedication to Oral Interp at Henry for the past years!
