The Virtual South Dakota High School Press Convention Begins!

Henry Students had the opportunity to participate in the Virtual South Dakota High School Press Convention. During 3rd period, the students were able to listen to the Keynote Speaker, Mark Watson of the The Black Hills Pioneer. Also, they sat in on a breakout session by Alex Portal of The Black Hills Pioneer. The session focused on Editorial Cartoons: What's So Funny About Them? The discussion included the process of how the cartoons come about and a little on the history of the editorial cartoon. The Henry High School students will be dabbling in a unit on editorial cartoons this semester.
