Too Good for Drugs (7th and 8th Grade)
Henry students in grades 7th-8th wrapped up a 10-session Too Good For Drugs curriculum this week. The curriculum teaches five social and emotional skills where students learned how to set reachable goals; make responsible decisions (Stop, Think, Act, Reflect); develop healthy relationships; identify and manage emotions; and communicate effectively. They also learned about how alcohol, nicotine, marijuana and other drugs affect the teenage brain and body. Classes were taught by Dodi Haug & Stephanie Kinnander from the NE Prevention Resource Center, Human Service Agency in Watertown, SD.
