Veterans Day Program

The Henry Veterans Day program took place on Wednesday, November 10th at 2:15 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

The program began with the presentation of the colors by members of the Clark American Legion followed by the playing of the National Anthem by the Henry School band.

The band will also played “America: Sweet Land of Liberty” arranged by Michael Story. The 6th grade class presented a program about why we take time to honor our veterans on Veterans Day.

Various groups performed songs on the program including :

Preschool -1st grades singing “March of the Wee Americans” and “Thank You to our Veterans” both by Teresa Jennings

9-12 Choir singing “In Flander’s Fields” arranged by Roger Emerson

5th -6th Grades singing “Sacrifices Made” by Mike Wilson

7-8th Grades singing “Thank You Soldiers” by Michael and Angela Souers and “Welcome Home” by Teresa Jennings.

2nd-4th Grades singing “Proud of Our Veterans” by Teresa Jennings

The 5th grade recited a poem about Veterans Day followed by recognition of the veterans in the audience who served in the different branches of the military.

We concluded the program with the playing of “Taps” by trumpet players Collin Fuller and Allison Stark
