E-sports

Esports is competitive gaming that we offer as a part of the after-school program.  The purpose of this is to offer students to become part of an activity where they get to be part of a team.  Esports can enhance skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.  It also gives students the opportunity to engage with students they would not engage with otherwise.

SDHSAA is planning on making esports a school sanctioned sport for the 2024-2025 school year. It will be available to grades 7-12. Currently they are looking at Rocket League, League of Legends, and Chess as games to compete.

We meet most Mondays after school and are open to students grades 5-12. Students must be picked up by 5:30. There is not cost for this activity.
