🎒✨ Preschool & Kindergarten Round-Up! ✨🎒
We’re excited to invite families to our Preschool & Kindergarten Round-Up! Starting school is a big step—and we’re here to help. This is a great opportunity to explore our classrooms, learn about our programs, and see what a day at school looks like in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Families will receive helpful information about enrollment, schedules, readiness skills, curriculum, and classroom routines. Our staff will be available to answer questions, meet families, and support a smooth and happy transition into school.
💛 We can’t wait to meet our future students and families! 😊

We started our day with Donuts with Deputies, and it was a huge hit! 🍩 Our students loved getting to meet and talk with the deputies. Thank you for making our morning extra special!

Look at these preschoolers go! ✨ They love the writing center—drawing pictures, practicing letters, and even writing words! Watching their confidence grow is the best part. 🥰✏️

Today our Preschool and 5th Grade Reading Buddies learned all about tree cookies 🌳—the rings you see when a tree is cut. We talked about how each ring shows one year of the tree’s life and how the rings can tell a story about good growing years and harder ones. Students then created their own “tree cookie of my life,” sharing memories and milestones with their buddies. Learning is better together!

The hallways are a winter wonderland as elementary students (preschool through 5th grade) created artwork to help warm the chill in the air. Please enjoy viewing their creativity and artistic skills!

Today in Preschool, we learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his message of kindness, respect, and equality. Through our egg activity, students explored how people may look different on the outside, but everyone is the same and important on the inside. This hands-on lesson helped us understand why treating others with kindness and respect matters.

A few juniors attending the Ready Set Go Build Dakota Scholarship event at LATC today where they took a lot of time to talk to different employers about future employment and educational possibilities!

💚 The Grinch has been spotted at Henry School! 💚
Preschool had a Grinch-tastic day full of fun, kindness, and Christmas cheer! Our preschoolers helped grow the Grinch’s heart three sizes with their acts of kindness. They searched high and low for Alphabet Grinch Hearts hidden around the room and listened closely as Mr. Obele read How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The sneaky Grinch even tried to steal our Grinch snacks! Preschoolers and their 5th grade reading buddies decorated cookies, read Christmas stories, and shared lots of smiles together.
Mr. Grinch stopped by one last time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! 🎄✨
