Tuesday, March 10: “Hawaiian – Dress like you’re going to Hawaii,” with a person holding a guitar in tropical attire.

Wednesday, March 11: “Country Club vs. Country – Dress like you’re going to golf or dress western,” with images of western boots, jeans, and a shirt and tie.

Dual Credit Night in Clark on Monday, March 23rd. This event will start at 6:30 pm and will be held in the Clark Jr/Sr High School gymnasium. All current 10th and 11th grade students including Henry students are invited along with their parents to help prepare them for the upcoming April 1st dual credit registration for the Fall 2026 semester. Mrs. Hauck will attend if any student or parent from Clark is attending. So please let her know. brigett.hauck@k12.sd.us

During this event, the dual credit coordinators will present a slideshow on all important information in which I will print as a hard copy for each student/parent to take notes. There will be time for individual questions with the dual credit coordinators after the presentation as they will each have their own table with informational material.

Just a reminder that inorder for a junior to take Dual Credits, they would need to have at least a 3.5 GPA. For a senior they would need a 3.25 GPA.

Preschool had so much fun celebrating the 101st day of school! 🎉 We challenged ourselves to count all the way to 101 and played “Top Dog,” a fun game comparing numbers. We especially loved spending time with our reading buddies—reading 101 Dalmatians, building cup towers, and creating a dog house for our dalmatian using different materials. We wrapped up our day by writing about what we would do if we had 101 dalmatians. Such a fun and busy day of learning! 🐾

Our 5th grade students have been diving into the world of plants and learning how they absorb water and nutrients! 🌱 Today, they put their knowledge to the test with a hands-on experiment using food coloring and white roses. By placing the roses in colored water, students were able to observe how the liquid travels up the stem and into the petals. 🌹 Throughout the day, they watched as the petals slowly changed color, giving them a real-life look at how plants take in nutrients through their stems. It was a fun and memorable way to bring science to life in the classroom!

This week is National School Board Appreciate Week in South Dakota. We want to take a moment to sincerely thank our local school board members Audrey Rider, Hanna Owen, Dan Hoffman, and Austin Page for the time, care, and leadership you bring to our school and community. Your work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact is felt every single day by our students, teachers, and families.
Serving on a school board requires long hours, thoughtful decision-making, and a genuine commitment to doing what’s best for kids. From budgeting and policy decisions to supporting educators and planning for the future, your dedication does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for listening to our community, asking the hard questions, and striving to create opportunities for every student to succeed. We appreciate your service, your leadership, and your continued commitment to education.

🎒✨ Preschool & Kindergarten Round-Up! ✨🎒

We’re excited to invite families to our Preschool & Kindergarten Round-Up! Starting school is a big step—and we’re here to help. This is a great opportunity to explore our classrooms, learn about our programs, and see what a day at school looks like in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Families will receive helpful information about enrollment, schedules, readiness skills, curriculum, and classroom routines. Our staff will be available to answer questions, meet families, and support a smooth and happy transition into school.

💛 We can’t wait to meet our future students and families! 😊

Today our Preschool and 5th Grade Reading Buddies learned all about tree cookies 🌳—the rings you see when a tree is cut. We talked about how each ring shows one year of the tree’s life and how the rings can tell a story about good growing years and harder ones. Students then created their own “tree cookie of my life,” sharing memories and milestones with their buddies. Learning is better together!
