Today in Preschool, we learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his message of kindness, respect, and equality. Through our egg activity, students explored how people may look different on the outside, but everyone is the same and important on the inside. This hands-on lesson helped us understand why treating others with kindness and respect matters.
A few juniors attending the Ready Set Go Build Dakota Scholarship event at LATC today where they took a lot of time to talk to different employers about future employment and educational possibilities!

Henry students have a successful weekend in The Crown and Uce cheer competition in Sioux Falls! Audrina Olson received 1st place for her individual event, and her Team Lux received 1st both days. Vada Olson's team Blush received 1st both days, also winning level champion and 2 paid bids!

💚 The Grinch has been spotted at Henry School! 💚
Preschool had a Grinch-tastic day full of fun, kindness, and Christmas cheer! Our preschoolers helped grow the Grinch’s heart three sizes with their acts of kindness. They searched high and low for Alphabet Grinch Hearts hidden around the room and listened closely as Mr. Obele read How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The sneaky Grinch even tried to steal our Grinch snacks! Preschoolers and their 5th grade reading buddies decorated cookies, read Christmas stories, and shared lots of smiles together.
Mr. Grinch stopped by one last time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! 🎄✨

Introduction to Business is learning about Basic Business Communication skills. The class has been doing activities to improve teamwork and communication skills.
The Edward Schwab Memorial Scholarship 26-27 application has just been release. The recipients must be a graduate from Clark High School, Hamlin High School, Henry High School, Florence High School, or Willow Lake High School who is currently in an undergraduate postsecondary program or is a high school senior on track for graduation from one of the above-mentioned schools.
This is a One-Year scholarship. Applicants MUST reapply each year they wish to be considered for the scholarship. There are multiple receipients from every school that receives this. You must have all the asked for documents sent by March 1st. If you are a current senior, Mrs. Hauck wants to review your full application and all documents by February 23rd. Please email brigett.hauck@k12.sd.us for the current application. MUST NOT use old ones.

Learning the letter R got a whole lot more hoppy this week! Mrs. Nerison brought her rabbit, Hopper, to meet the class. He bounced around doing joyful jumps, and the kids were obsessed! 🐇✨
