📚💖 Our preschoolers have been learning all about kindness throughout the year — and now they’re officially published authors! 🎉
They've created their very own book titled Caring Cubs: Tales of Kindness filled with heartwarming stories and big acts of compassion from our little learners. We couldn’t be prouder!✨

We’re excited to be working on this year’s school yearbook—a project that captures the memories, achievements, and spirit of our students. Each year, the yearbook serves as a meaningful keepsake for our students, staff, and families, and we’re reaching out to ask for your support in making it the best one yet.
We are currently seeking local businesses and community members to sponsor our yearbook. Your sponsorship would help offset printing and production costs, making the yearbook more affordable and accessible for all students. In return, your business will be recognized in the yearbook and seen by students, families, and staff members—a great way to show your support for education while promoting your brand or business.

Penny Wars Starts Monday!
Get ready, Middle and High School students—Penny Wars is back from April 7-10! This friendly competition pits class against class to see who can raise the most money. Pennies and dollar bills add points, but watch out—silver coins subtract!
Find your class’s container in your homeroom and start strategizing. The winning class takes home the Golden Plunger from last year’s champions, the 8th grade!
Bring your change and let the battle begin!

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS interested in a LAW career, The University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law will be hosting its “Law Camp” via Zoom on Wednesday April 9th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM CST. Law Camp will introduce various degree programs and careers connected with the law in South Dakota. It is open to all high schoolers and there is no cost to participate.
With presenters from a variety of legal careers, students will have a chance to hear about the career path and opportunities of judges, lawyers, probation officers, law enforcement officers, court clerks, court reporters, professionals working with diversion and specialty courts, and other parts of the legal system. It will include representatives from careers that require either two- or four-year degrees along with graduate programs like law school.
Law Camp will be an interesting and exciting chance to learn about legal careers. USD Knudson School of Law Dean Neil Fulton said, “I developed an interest in the law because I got to meet people working in legal careers while I was in high school. I really hope that Law Camp provides a similar spark to another generation of South Dakota students.”
Registration for Law Camp is open until Monday April 7th. So if this is something that you would be interested in, Mrs. Hauck would be willing to put it on in her room. But you would need to let her know by Monday. So please email Mrs. Hauck if your interested in attending this zoom informative meeting. brigett.hauck@k12.sd.us

A Special Thank You to Our Amazing Paras!
On this snowy Wednesday, The Henry School would like to take a moment to recognize the incredible paras who make a difference in our school every day.
Angie, Mistie, Mrs. Boenke, Mrs. Page, Mrs. Grode, Ms. Courtney, and Mrs. Boyd—your dedication, kindness, and hard work do not go unnoticed. You are an integral part of our school community, and we would be lost without you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all you do!

Today the 7-12 band and a couple 6th graders went to the ECC band festival at GPL in Watertown. They worked hard all day and put on a great concert tonight. So proud of the hard work they have done!
